About Bone Lake Management District

Bone Lake, located in Polk County, Wisconsin, is a 1,667-acre lake with 12.5 miles of shoreline and more than 500 private lots. The Bone Lake Management District is a State of Wisconsin governmental body formed in 1976 Its purpose is to maintain, protect, and improve the quality of Bone Lake and its watershed for the mutual good of its members, the public, and the lake environment.

Annual budgets are funded from tax levies, special assessments, and Wisconsin DNR grants. Eligible property owner send residents who live in the District vote on an annual budget and elect commissioners at the annual meeting held on the second Saturday of August every year. MORE
