Comprehensive Lake Management Plan
This plan guides the activities of the Bone Lake Management District. The Plan was originally developed by the District and approved by Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources in 2009, updated in 2015 and implemented over the ten-year period from 2015 through 2024.
Mission Statement
Bone Lake is a precious resource and one of the premier recreational lakes in its vicinity. The overall mission of this comprehensive lake management plan is to maintain and enhance, when possible, the health of Bone Lake to support clean water, natural scenic beauty, recreation, and sport fishing for decades to come.
2026 Plan Update
An updated lake management plan is underway, to be completed and approved for implementation in the year 2026.
Public comment period, June 6-July 3, 2026.
The Plan will be presented to the membership at the 2026 Annual Meeting on August 8 at Luck School.

The 2020 Aquatic Plant Management Plan and 2023 Amendment are essential components of our Conmprehensive Lake Management Plan which provides the framework to improve our lake.
